The Ontario Minister of the Environment has released a discussion paper as part of a review of the Waste Diversion Act. The discussion paper, entitled "Toward a Zero Waste Future" seriously asks the public, municipalities and industry how to best implement zero waste through extended producer responsibility and an renewed emphasis on the first two Rs - reduce and reuse.

The main Ontario Ministry of the Ontario Waste Diversion Act Initiatives page gives several ways to comment on the discussion paper. The deadline for public comments is January 15, 2009. Submit your comments:
